  • Cow skin (ponmo) (cooked and chopped into small sizes)
  • Crayfish (2 tablespoons, grounded)
  • Seasoning cubes (2-3 cubes)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (scotch bonnet or dry pepper) (to taste)
  • Water or meat stock (about 4-5 cups)

Optional Ingredients:

  • Vegetables (ugu leaves, bitter leaf, or spinach)  
  • Okra (optional chopped, for extra thickness and texture)
  • Periwinkle or seafood (for a coastal twist)

Step-by-Step Guide to Cooking Ogbono Soup
